I'm a dirty dirty cheat...:D
Cheaters never prosper
So, Admin you told me to...
I put Nottingham Forest in the premier league & Champions League, dropped Man U into League One & took them out of CL. I moved Rooney, Ronaldo, Anderson, Hargreaves and Jonathan Evans into my Forest squad & dropped a few youngsters.
I created a player with my real name, he's mint, plays CB, RB, MC, DM & FC & I knocked a few years off myself, I'm just 16 years old (turn 17 soon, so will be eligable to play).
I increased the stadium capacity to 65,000, with an average attendance of 65,000, 100% hardcore fans & bumped up season ticket prices to about £700.00 & £45.00 a game.
I increased the bank balance to £200m & gave myself a £150m transfer budget.
Oh & I increased Forest's reputation to higher than that of Man U, etc.
Then I started a game, it took me about three hours last night and all I've only just managed to put a squad (well more of a starting 11) together with that cash. I chose ''European Qualification through league finish'' which boosted my budget to £200m & later I adjusted my wage & transfer budget to make it £216m.
Transfers in
Igor Akinfeev - £30.5m
David Villa - £41m
Maxi Rodriguez - £16m (buyout clause)
Pablo Piatti - £400k
Ismael Aisatti - £8m
Cristian Zapata - £19m
Sergey Ignashevich - FREE
Micah Richards - £22m
Marcelo - £5.5m (buyout clause)
Goran Pandev - £16.5m
Rafael Van Der Vaart - £17m
Philip Lahm - £21m
Vincent Enyeama: £2m
Henry Saivet - compo
Loic Abenzoir - compo
& a few more youngsters that I can't quite remember, mainly french, cheap & pretty good prospects, although none better than Saivet, he cost me about £375k compo & has the potential to be as good as Rooney. I'll update the rest when I'm at home or something.
I loaned Joe Hart because I was struggling for a second keeper but Enyeama will join next week, so I'll send him back. He's not very good on the game.
Other than that, I've established a top quality set of coaches, scout's & physio's, including Pat Rice as my Assistant, Ricardo Moniz as a coach and John Button & Wolfgang Dremmler as scout's.
Starting Line-up
Here's what my line-up will look like for much of the season, until January when they'll hopefully give me more cash to strengthen it:
I like to play an attacking 4-4-2 but it's more of a 4-1-1-2-2, with a fair bit of rotating, until I find my best side that is.
GK: Akinfeev
RB: Lahm/Richards
LB: Marcelo/Lahm
CB: Ignashevic/Richards
CB: Zapata/Evans
DM: Hargreaves/Myself
MC: Van der vaart/Anderson
RW: Rodriguez/Ronaldo
LW: Ronaldo/Aisatti
FC: Rooney/Pandev
FC: Villa/Pandev
Pre-Season
Many of my efforts to sign players were rejected, so I cancelled the first few of my friendlies. My first friendly came and I didn't have a keeper, so I played Pandev in goal (I asked assistant to pick), I lost 5-3 to Braga, everything they hit at goal went in. The next game I wont 4-1 against Mainz (Akinfeev in goal), then after tht destroyed someone about 7-3 (Joe Hart).
David Villa, Pandev & Rooney were all on form, Villa racking up about 2 goals in each game but my defensive didn't seem too solid. I'll tamper with my tactic's before the season, that should hopefully sort it.
Despite me nicking five of Man U's players & dropping them into League One, they beat Chelsea 2-1 in the Community Shield.
This weekend I'll see how far I get & keep you all updated as to whether cheater's actually do prosper.

Good luck with it matey.
I find it quite weird how people say using the editor is cheating. But, its not. Even if you use the editor its still solid

Exactly if you do editor only edit it a little so you don't win ever game 6-0 because that would just be boring.

Sure would.
Just give yourself maybe a few million pounds to give you a headstart.

Exactly that would give you a good team but would still be a challenge.

Yeah it still is.
I give myself a few million to give myself a headstart most of the time and its still very hard.

I've tried with Cambridge once and never got the hang of it to be honest. I might try Rushden if my current game turns out bad. But its going well, i've just won the African nations cup with Ivory Coast this afternoon.
